2020-2021 Milton Band Registration - Deadline is May 15th (except for completion of step 3)

As all public schools will function in a "remote learning" fashion until the end of the school year, student registration for all Milton Band and Colorguard programs (including Marching Band) will take place online. Below you will find a checklist of everything that needs to be completed for a student to have a spot reserved in this upcoming school year's band program (marching band, concert band only, colorguard). Before starting the band registration process or inquiring with questions, please watch this informational video:

The 4 Steps to Join The Milton Band Program:

Registration paperwork - due by May 15 - you have a confirmed spot.

$500 deposit - due no later than June 1 - this is needed to maintain your confirmed spot.

Medical paperwork/physical - before band camp starts - no later than July 13. Given current circumstances and concerns parents may have, we will accept any physical dated after July 1, 2019. Additionally, a band parent who is a medical provider will provide the opportunity to conduct a physical at his office for a small fee in the weeks leading up to band starting. More information on this will be provided in the near future.

2. Marching Band/Colorguard only: Acknowledgement of Milton Marching Band Participation Policies:

3. Marching Band/Colorguard only: submission of all FCS required medical documents via the DragonFly Platform. Please know every Fulton County School and every extra-curricular program district-wide will be utilizing this moving into the future. Parents will create an account for their student and all documents uploaded can be used for other school athletic activities.

May 11th update: The system is now up and running for band. Please view the informational video below to avoid confusion before you begin. Students have until the first day of band practice to complete this step, which requires proof of a physical. Due to current COVID-19 uncertainties, any physical completed after July 1st 2019 will be accepted this year. The band will provide an opportunity to obtain a physical in the weeks leading up to band camp from a band parent medical practitioner for a small fee.

4. Payment for all marching band/colorguard/concert band only fees made online via Credit Card:

Note: please wait to submit payment until you receive an invoice via email for the total amount due based on your elections made in the registration form. Families with financial hardships should contact Mr. Shumick directly for information about financial assistance with fundraising opportunities and alternative/extended payment plans.

The deadline for paperwork enrollment is May 15th, and the payment post-mark deadline is June 1st. Step 3 which doesn't have to be completed until band practice begins in July). Once steps 1,2 and 4 are complete your student will have a spot written for them in this year's marching band show and/or concert attire reserved for all non-marching band students.
